Thank you to so many of you who continue to ask about my health and share that you are praying for me. It seemed like now would be a good time to give you an update
In October of 2015, a voice condition came back that I had experienced about 15 years earlier. Thankfully, it has not hindered me from preaching, but it does often affect my ability to speak in a regular, conversational voice. The condition does not currently have a cure, but there is a Botox treatment that helps it. In 2016, the Lord led us to one of the best doctors in the country for this treatment. We have had to travel to Philadelphia multiple times so far. Thankfully, my previous treatment lasted for over a year since September 2016. However, my voice has been getting progressively worse over the last few weeks, so we recently made an appointment to go back down to Philadelphia for a new treatment soon.
Many of you are aware that I contracted Lyme Disease back in November 2011. After waiting 1 1/2 years to get diagnosed and then after years of treatment and recovery, I am grateful that I believe I am about 90% recovered from Lyme. I really dont believe I have it anymore, but I do still have quite a bit of impact from having had it. The Lord helps me to continue improving and gaining strength and endurance weekly.
Thank you for your faithful prayers, concern, and support through this extreme challenge in my life! The Lord has been so good to us, and most of that He has done through all of you our family, church family, and friends!
